It all started when…

The Lifeline Community Outreach Organization(LCO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in the early 1990s, after numerous gang-related shootings occurred in the Wilkinsburg, PA community. Its Founder, Bishop David Alan Brock had a vision to provide a "lifeline" to the residents of the community.  LCO has worked to enhance the quality of life for less fortunate children and families in the community. We have provided clothing, food, after school programs, book bags and school supplies, summer camps, toys for Christmas, coat and blanket drives, reading and computer programs, health fairs and a diversity of other services and programs to the communities we serve. LCO has served the community of Wilkinsburg, PA, Penn Hills, PA and currently serves Turtle Creek, PA and its surrounding communities. We hold an Annual "Feel The Love" Community Day Event every August, that is free to the community and also provides a variety of fun activities for children and their families.  There is always something for all ages. This year's Community Day will include a Health Fair that will provide free health screenings and a host of vendors/representatives from various social service organizations with information and giveaways. This community event usually has a large turnout and increases annually with last years event servicing over 200 individuals. LCO's mission is to work within the community to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families through social services, community programs and partnerships with other organizations..
