Toys for Tots Pick-Up!

According to the National Center for Children in Poverty, 21% of all children live in low-income families. These families can not afford to spend what little income and resources they have for toys and gifts. If you signed up at the Community Day, or you or someone you may know, are in need please come sign out to receive free toys for Christmas! Lifeline Community Outreach is looking to provide assistance to at-risk and low-come families in Turtle Creek and the surrounding communities! Toy pick up is on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 10:00am-1:00pm at Love Fellowship Church in Turtle Creek. Should you have any questions, please contact Moriah Love at (412) 999-6204.

IMPACT Seminar

IMPACT Seminar

The images of violence are constant. Scenes of gun violence are now expected in our neighborhoods and churches. Hate in the form of racism is continually ringing in our ears. As a community, however, we can heal from those images, eliminate those scenes of violence and honestly call out racism – if we respond with urgency, take the time to recover and find opportunity to redefine the sources of this trauma. The goal of the IMPACT (Intentional Mending Police And Community) seminar is to bring law-enforcement and the community together. We want the youth and young adults to be knowledgeable about their rights and the rights of law enforcement. We want to bring about change and that only happens when we come together and learning takes place.
